A mini facelift involves shorter incisions with less extensive correction of skin and tissues. The technique is performed on patients of an average age range of 40 to 55 with moderate facial skin laxity. A mini facelift can restore a firm, defined jawline, smooth away smile lines, and create a refreshed, elegant, youthful look.
What is the Recovery Time?
The recovery time following a mini facelift is reasonably easy to experience. You should plan to take one to two weeks off work. Any swelling or bruising peaks at about three days, and then fades, day by day. Initially, you can take prescribed pain medication for a few days, after which over-the-counter painkillers are typically sufficient.
Sleep with your head elevated on extra pillows or a wedge to avoid putting pressure on the incisions. For exercise, take gentle walks, and avoid any vigorous physical activities until given permission by our facial plastic surgeon. You will be given full written aftercare instructions and can always communicate with our team with any questions.
